The Medicine Lodge 11 and 12-year-old baseball team enjoyed a very prosperous summer. After winning the Sunflower League regular season title, they went on to also win the league tournament, which was held July 11 through 13.
Members of the team, which was sponsored by SCTelcom, included Dalton Cope, Joseph Dohrmann, Tyson Hill, William Hawkins, David Foulkrod, Ian Hawkins Cole Long, Brock Long, Dillon Romine, Seth Oldham and Colton Matthew. The team was coached by Cliff Long and Mark Long
Four members of the Medicine Lodge team joined the Sunflower League all-star team to compete in the Sunflower West State Tournament held in Pratt. The players included Seth Oldham, Colton Matthew, Brock Long and Cole Long. The team finished the tournament with a record of one win and two losses.
